What We Believe

...about the Bible: we believe in the inspiration, inerrancy and integrity of the Scriptures. We believe translations are authoritative as they accurately represent the originals
...about God: we believe in the essential equality and eternality of the Godhead. The three persons--Father, Son and Holy Spirit--possess one essence and independently exercise all the attributes.
...about Christ: we believe in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ, the Godman born of Mary. We believe in His sinless life, his substitutionary death for all men and his bodily resurrection from the dead.
...about the Holy Spirit: we believe in the deity and personality of the Holy Spirit; that He indwells all believers; that He is the impetus for godly living, spiritual growth, effective witnessing and edifying ministry in the local church.
...about salvation: we believe Jesus Christ is the only way to God; that one must respond in believing faith to the gospel (Christ's death, burial and resurrection). The gift of eternal life is given to all who believe.
...about the church: we believe the church is the Body of Christ comprised of all believers from Pentecost to the Rapture. We believe the local church is the means by which Christ's mission is fulfilled in the world: spreading the gospel, making disciples, edifying and equipping believers for participation in the ministry and mission.
...about sin: we believe all men are born sinners, thus are dead in trespasses and sins until they are made alive by the Spirit in response to their faith. Believers continue to be vulnerable to attacks from the world, the flesh and the devil.
...about angels: we believe in good angels who are ministering spirits carrying out the will of God. We believe in fallen angels (demons) who followed Satan in his rebellion and with him will be eternally confined to the lake of fire.
...about the future: we believe the rapture of the Church is the next prophetic event. It will be followed by seven years of tribulation and 1000 years of Messianic rule before all is destroyed and God creates the new heavens and the new earth.
